Mount Sophia Academy
is a diploma program for home educated high school students, registered with
the states of Delaware and Maryland.
Mount Sophia Academy
was incorporated in 1996 and has seen 10 graduating classes.
Mount Sophia
students are active and involved in their communities. They serve in their churches and community
organizations. Our students have
included National Merit Finalists, top University scholarship recipients, MBNA
scholars, National Competition Yo-yo medalists, All-State Choir and Band
members, national writing and songwriting competition winners, an electronic
band signed to a national independent label, teens involved in missionary work
- long and short term, and competitors in drama, speech, art, music, and
writing.
The
program consists of two tracks - college or career-bound. Of our past classes, 78% of our graduates
have gone on to two- or four-year colleges or universities. The remainder have entered missions training,
gainful employment, or home-making.
